I'm sooo grateful to not only be a mom, but to my mothers and grandmothers as well. Fortunately I have some of the best, if not the best, women all around me. My mom, grandma, my mother in law and john's grandma are all the best. They love and look after people so well. I was just telling john the other day that it was hard to match the standards of the queen of manners and politeness (my momma), but I'm glad she has shown me what it's about and how it's done. Hopefully Ellie will pick it up too. Here's hoping.
But! Not only are those women fabulous, but my aunts, cousins and friends are also the best to be around, esp when I may be at my worst :) I think of all these gals now because truthfully we are all motherly at one point or another. We don't necessarily have to have children to be mother like at all. I don't know, maybe this is a soapbox but I you all should be celebrated and thanked! So...
Thank you!!!! For being sweet and just kinda knowing what to do. Women are usually good like that!
Back to me! Ha! (Jk) but really... We were planning to hike it up to Asheville for walking, dining, maybe trailing?? But it looked like rain so... Like any good mom I dropped off my child with her grandparents and went to an awesome dinner with my husband ! It was Belgian fare and in a space that made me feel like I was either at Hogwarts or in lord of the rings! Wouldn't turn either down!
On Sunday we got lazy and missed church (I'm not proud if that). I baked and also made us French toast. After that we went to Jo Jo's (johns grandma) and had a great time as usual. Here are some pictures below...
Thanks Sid! Your great efforts pay off! love ya! POPS!
