The last time I blogged was about our trip to my hometown of Murfreesboro. Since then things have been moving right along. Everyone is happy and healthy. Ellie has been in good moods! So I'll start off with Ellie. She is the most fun...
She turned 4 months yesterday and I have to say that so far the 3 to 4 month age has been my most favorite. She started sleeping in her crib and now (knock on wood) she sleeps through the night!
Upgrade!
@ 4 months...thinking hard
Although I do enjoy the fact that John and I have our room back, I actually miss her at night being next to us in her bassinet. Oh well. Had to happen.
Memories!
She giggles now. The BEST EVER. She coos, screams, smiles and "talks" now so much and it is too adorable. She is also slobbering like crazy and trying to play with toys (a little). So far so good with the cloth diapers. It helps when you put them on not backwards and change them often. Thanks to a dear friend of mine we are well stocked with them!
because I'm not completely insane.... she wears these at night still and when we travel.
The weekend before last, John (and the family) celebrated his 1st father's day. We went to his parent's house and cooked some steaks for everyone. Us buying beef = special occasion. It was a really nice, laid back day. Ellie even wrote a special poem for her dad! What do ya know? The child is talented ;). John does deserve to be celebrated. He is a really good dad. He supports ALL of us and he is soon to be finishing his masters degree right after he finishes his CMA certification exam (part 2 and it is for work). So... he is a good man and I try to tell him often.
Ellie and I got into a little fender bender. We are perfectly fine with a minor car damage. Can certainly say now I am very thankful it wasn't bad and praise the Lord for protection on all the other days. Also I think the kid (everyone younger than me is a kid) who bumped into us got an eye-opener. We've all been there. High school for me... that was not a good day as I'm sure my dad remembers!
Hmmm...Things have mostly been calm and cool. We haven't traveled around as John spends weekends studying (so do I to prepare for school but it isn't as urgent). And....oh yeah! We are on one salary so, not so much extra this and that. Hello December 2014! Lord willing=graduation. We did celebrate johns sisters birthday last week and that was really nice!
Next week (this Sunday) we are leaving for vacation to Edisto Island, SC for a week. Yay! When we get back my class starts and well I probably won't be blogging much until August. I'll try to post vacation pictures, but it's ttyl until August.
Hope all is well! Much love from SC <3
