The First 30 years

It's no surprise by now, I turned the big 3-0 this weekend and oh-what-a feelin'!!(music note emojis) A while ago 30 seemed old and it still kinda does but hey if you ask how do you feel? Oh well let me tell you! I've told others this already but I'm so content and just plain happy at this stage in my life I say 30 feels fantastic. I wouldn't change a thing. That being said, nothing at all is ever perfect (but ellie is pretty perfect ; ) and there things I'm working on to make better but my family life? Friends? Life goals? I feel quite fulfilled. The roaring 20's were just that. Loud, rowdy and oh so fun. Thankfully they led me right to where I am now. I can't wait to see my 30's and on with my family. We have lots of things in mind and with them all is good! So here's and cheers to the next 30!

As far as the weekend celebration went...

You remember the concert from the 4th of Sept. which just happened to be close to my birthday so we called it an early celebration...

On Friday the 18th and my actual birthday, John (he came up with these plans! yay for that!) Took half a day and we went to see a matinee. It was the Maze Runner: Scorch Trials and it was really good! we recently saw the first one (think kinda like Hunger Games) not long ago and so we were excited to see the next one. We hadn't been to a movie in over a year so it was really nice. We went to eat some Thai food later and then picked up Ellie from her grandparents.

John swears he doesn't take good pictures so he resolved to just be goofy in all of them for good measure. Ps we were the only ones in theatre at this point.

On Saturday, we did the usual chores of the weekend ( I know, riveting) but then we went to Lake Robinson with John's family for a picnic. We went there last year and it was just as beautiful this year. Ellie was loving it and we got to see a wedding there too! Whenever we move, we will miss being so close to this place. It is literally a minute down the road. Anyway, we had a good time and I felt very special. I hope to celebrate some more next month my family. My brother's birthday is next week!

So here we have pictures from the weekend!
