2 weekends. part 2 of 2

Last weekend we made our maiden voyage to NC with baby Ellie. The trip down was an extra 2 hours give or take but Ellie took it like a champ. I packed a picnic lunch and she got to stretch then as we all did and then back in the car!

At our stop

Once we got to my parents house, Ellie was able to spend a little more time with her grandparents who hadn't got to see much of her yet. Esp. My dad and now I think he is in love! Soon after, my aunt, uncle, cousins and my grandma came over to see her for the first time!

On Saturday Ellie woke up in a great mood! Oh yes she is a morning baby by all means. She was smiling and cooing and all that good jazz. Well if you came it see her that Saturday then you know it didn't last... Somewhere around late morning Ellie started to sense a party was brewing and she did not like. My parents sweet neighbor came to see her and Ellie started up then. She didn't like being held or anything... I got her dressed up to meet her family that would be coming and she calmed down, happinest just lying on the bed. Soon my family and friends starting to come and Ellie started to feel ... Fussy. Very fussy. Tried to nurse her still cried, other people tried to hold her and she still crying. This was very unusual for her...honestly. This was funny because I was so excited for everybody to meet her but she ended up spending most of her time outside.  She just liked the peace and quiet I guess. She's used to it being quiet at our house and mostly being the two of us. She eventually calm down after I got her ready for bed that night. Needless to say she didn't wake up once she got put in her crib. Exhausted. My nerves were pretty frazzled too. It's hard to hear your kid cry so much.
So to my friends and family who came on Saturday ...I'm sorry Ellie was not in a good mood and I certainly hope next time we are home she will able to visit more! But I certainly loved seeing everyone and I appreciated everyone coming.

This sums up her mood. Tears of joy

Sunday we had lunch and then had to head out. Overall it was a really nice weekend and always so good to see my family.

I would show more pictures but I don't know if everyone would like to put up on the ole blog ; )
